The Room Hair Design Creates Good Hair Days Every Day

Regina’s The Room Hair Design has been turning heads in the city for more than 30 years. Located in Cathedral Village, Alison Borowko—a hairstylist for 14 years—has been the proud owner since 2014. “Our main mission is to create a warm, welcoming space that feels like home,” says Alison. “We have recently refreshed and redesigned the salon to make it even more homey and comfortable.

The salon is home to seven talented stylists and one esthetician, The Room offers a full suite of hair and esthetic services to style everyone who enters their doors. When you come in for a cut, colour, or any of their services, they want you to leave looking and feeling fantastic. “We’re a full-service quality salon that stays on top of trends,” says Alison. “We’re really proud of what we offer.”

The team makes sure they stay ahead of the curve when it comes to what’s new in hair and esthetics. “I am education-focused and encourage all our stylists to remain current with what is trending in fashion and style,” says Alison. “I love mentoring and coaching stylists to make the most of their careers.”

Not only can you get a great style at The Room, but you can also get the products you need to support that style. The Room offers hair care products from two well-known brands. La Biosthétique Paris, a luxury brand from Europe, is known for its ‘Culture of Total Beauty.’ “La Biosthétique Paris is a 70-year-old family run business from Europe that makes incredible hair and beauty products that we love,” says Alison. “These high-quality products are naturally-derived, and we’re thrilled to offer their entire hair care line at the salon.” The Room is also home to Aveda, another popular hair and beauty care brand with fans around the world. “Aveda is environmentally-responsible and also made from ethically-sourced naturally derived ingredients,” she says. “If you know Aveda, you love Aveda, and we do too.”
