Fall into Sangria

Just because summer’s almost done doesn’t mean you have to give up on sangria. Try these tasty autumn versions to make the sangria season last and last.

Autumn White Wine Sangria

1 Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc or Riesling
2 apples, cored and cut into wedges 2 pears, cored and cut into wedges 1 lemon, cut into wedges
2 cups apple cider
1 cups vodka
¼ cup Grand Marnier
2 cinnamon sticks

In a pitcher, add the diced apples, diced pears, and sliced lemons, apple cider, vodka, orange liqueur, white wine, and cinnamon sticks and stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least one hour prior to serving. Serve over ice in wine glasses or lowball glasses with ice.

Apple and Red Wine Sangria

1 bottle Malbec, Pinot Noir or Merlot 1½ cups apple cider
½ cup Grand Marnier
2 apples (Pink Lady, Ambrosia, Fuji, Granny Smith or Honeycrisp), sliced
4 cardamom pods, crushed
4 whole cloves
2 cinnamon sticks
1 star anise

Add all ingredients to a large pitcher and stir to combine. Refrigerate for at least one hour prior to serving. Serve over ice in wine glasses or lowball glasses with ice.
