A Fresh Spotlight: Globe Theatre's new season shines in a newly renovated space
With a dynamic mix of satire, classics and B roadway spectacle, Globe Theatre's 2025–2026 season celebrates its return to a fully revitalized venue in the heart of downtown Regina.
Regina’s Globe Theatre is celebrating its 60th anniversary with a dynamic 2025–2026 season, marking a triumphant return to its newly renovated home in the historic MacCorquodale Place. After years of extensive upgrades—including wider seats, improved sightlines, and enhanced stage technology—audiences can once again enjoy live performances in a refreshed and more comfortable setting.
A season of stories: from satire to spectacle
The season opens with The Master Plan by Michael Healey, running October 1–19, 2025. This sharp political satire, based on Josh O’Kane’s book Sideways: The City Google Couldn’t Buy, delves into the complexities of urban development and corporate influence. From November 26 to December 21, 2025, the holiday classic Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol, adapted by Michael Shamata, returns to the stage. This heartwarming tale of redemption and goodwill offers a festive experience for audiences of all ages.
In the new year, Disney’s Frozen: The Broadway Musical brings the magic of Arendelle to Regina from February 4 to March 1, 2026. Featuring beloved characters and songs, this production promises to enchant families and fans alike. April 29 to May 17, 2026, sees Little Red Warrior and His Lawyer by Kevin Loring take the stage. This compelling play blends Indigenous storytelling with contemporary issues, following the journey of a First Nations man navigating the legal system after defending his ancestral land.
The season concludes with the dark comedy Arsenic and Old Lace by Joseph Kesselring, running June 3–21, 2026. This classic farce, involving eccentric aunts and a series of unexpected events, offers a delightful end to the theatre's milestone season.
