Senior Engage™
Building Community, One Conversation at a Time
As we age, maintaining our health involves far more than regular check-ups or good nutrition. Research continues to show that meaningful social connection, daily purpose, physical activity, and lifelong engagement play an essential role in overall well-being. Yet for many older adults, opportunities to connect with others become increasingly limited, leading to loneliness, isolation, and a loss of community.
The Dr. Goodenowe Community Health Senior Engage™ Program was created to change that.
More than a daily gathering, Senior Engage™ is a welcoming community where adults aged 60 and older can enjoy nutritious chef-prepared meals, participate in light exercise, engage in games and recreational activities, and, most importantly, spend time with others in an environment built on friendship, dignity, and belonging. Complimentary transportation is provided, ensuring that access to the program is never limited by mobility or circumstance.
Every day brings new opportunities for conversation, laughter, and connection. Whether it’s sharing stories over lunch, playing a spirited game of bingo, taking part in gentle movement activities, or simply enjoying a cup of coffee with new friends, each experience is designed to foster a sense of purpose and community. These moments may seem simple, but they often become the highlight of someone’s day.
One of the greatest strengths of Senior Engage™ is the people themselves.
Every participant brings a lifetime of knowledge, experiences, accomplishments, and stories. By creating a space where those experiences can be shared, the program encourages meaningful relationships that enrich not only the participants’ lives but the entire community. Conversations between peers become opportunities to learn, inspire, and remind one another that every stage of life has value.
The program also provides meaningful support for families and caregivers. Knowing that loved ones are spending the day in a safe, welcoming environment offers peace of mind while providing caregivers with valuable time to rest, attend appointments, or manage daily responsibilities.
Senior Engage™ reflects a broader vision of community health, one that recognizes that wellness is strengthened through relationships, purpose, movement, nourishing meals, and the simple comfort of belonging. By bringing seniors together each day, the program creates opportunities for friendships to flourish, confidence to grow, and healthy routines to become part of everyday life. At its heart, Senior Engage™ is about celebrating life, preserving independence, and ensuring that no senior has to navigate aging alone. It is a place where every story matters, every friendship has value, and every day offers another opportunity to connect, contribute, and thrive.
A Place That Feels Like Home
“From my very first visit to the Restorative Health Centre, the compassion, professionalism, and personalized attention shown by every member of the team made me feel welcome and at ease. I would especially like to recognize the kitchen staff and front desk team for their dedication, patience, and kindness. They help create an environment that is warm, welcoming, and supportive. Beyond the program, I’ve also made many wonderful new friends. Thank you for showing up with heart every day. Your kindness never goes unnoticed, and I truly appreciate the positive difference you make in the lives of so many people. Thank you again, Dr. Goodenowe and the entire team.” — Diane Grauel
