This family-owned business has been part of the local landscape for over 80 years, beginning with the vision of Greg Dozorec’s great uncle, who laid the foundation—quite literally—for generations of skilled flooring craftsmanship.
Back in the 1950s through to the 1970s, the family made its mark installing gym and handball court floors across southern Saskatchewan. The business evolved in the mid-1980s when Greg’s uncle took the reins and shifted the focus to residential flooring, helping local families bring the natural beauty of wood into their homes.
Greg joined the company in the early 1990s, apprenticing for a decade before taking over the business with his wife Tammy. Together, they’ve now owned Wascana Wood Floors for more than 21 years. We don’t just install a floor and walk away,” says Greg. “Once you’re our customer, you’re part of the Wascana Wood Floors family.”

This DIY approach, combined with the company’s hands-on support, offers an alternative to the impersonal experience often found at big box stores. “We’ve been doing this for decades,” says Greg. “There isn’t a scenario we haven’t seen. We’re always happy to share that experience.”
